Anne-Marie Widner

Anne-Marie Widner is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Group. For Anne-Marie, the enjoyment of practising law comes from the opportunities to build long-term relationships with clients and from working with people who are results-oriented. Anne-Marie's practice covers all aspects of real estate law with a focus on commercial leasing and includes commercial acquisitions and dispositions, condominium transactions and real estate development.

Anne-Marie’s practice includes leasing and transactional work for a major Canadian retail chain, the University of Toronto, and hospitals and government agency clients. Some of Anne-Marie’s recent transactions include:

• Negotiation of the largest office lease transaction in the City of Toronto for 1999, for a client's head office lease premises;
• Handled all real estate aspects of the purchase by Canadian Blood Services of the blood assets of the Canadian Red Cross Society, including numerous leased and owned properties across Canada; and
• Acted for construction lenders in connection with the financing of a major housing development in the St. Lawrence Market area of Toronto, which involved four adjacent but separately owned properties with complex cross-easement and shared facility agreements.

Anne-Marie joined the firm in 1985.
