Gillian Carter
Gillian Carter is a member of the 2010 summer student class at Cassels Brock. She is working towards a combined Bachelor of Laws/Master of Public Administration degree at Dalhousie University. She is looking forward to gaining experience in securities and litigation.
Throughout her law studies, Gillian has been actively involved as a member of the Law Students Society at Dalhousie and is a founding member of the Multidisciplinary Law Students Association. In 2009, she worked on legal research pertaining to regulations in the health care sector in Nova Scotia and is now working with her professor on a paper for publication.
In 2007, Gillian earned her BA (Honours) in international development studies and history from Dalhousie University.
Before joining Cassels Brock, Gillian’s previous summers were spent working abroad and across Canada. She worked for the Australian government developing policy directives related to Aboriginal health and violence, and held an internship with the Nova Scotia Department of Labour & Workforce Development researching prospective changes to the province’s Labour Standards Code. Gillian has also worked for a global consulting practice focused on the mining and natural resources sector.
Gillian enjoys playing badminton, squash and soccer, and is an avid reader.
