Lori A. Prokopich
Lori is a partner in the Financial Services Group and practises business law, with a particular emphasis on corporate finance and mergers and acquisitions. She advises both start-up and public companies, and acts for investors as well as investees. Lori has acted on various private and public financings, involving both debt and equity. She has also advised clients on business combinations and reorganizations, investment structures and private equity and venture capital transactions. Lori has experience representing clients in a broad range of industries including technology, manufacturing, transportation, natural resources and consumer products.
Lori is the author of the cross-border securities chapter of Canada - U.S. Commercial Law Guide and was a major contributor to The Bank Act, Annotated. She is also the Past Chair of the Young Lawyers Division of the Ontario Bar Association.
Lori has completed the Canadian Securities Course and the advanced securities programs Canadian Investment Finance I and II administered by the Canadian Securities Institute.
