Trust Officer

Trust Officer

Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP is presently recruiting for a Trust Officer in our Accounting Department reporting to the Controller. The successful candidate must be a team player as well as being flexible with great customer service skills. 

Responsibilities: 
  • Recording trust transactions
  • Preparation of trust deposits and trust cheques
  • Wire transfers
  • Transfers to pay client accounts, investments
  • Analyzing trust ledger report balances to communicate to lawyers
  • Organizing & filing of all trust documentation 
Qualifications: 
  • Minimum of 2-3 years law firm trust accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of Law Society bookkeeping guidelines
  • Detail oriented with good communication & organizational skills
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office Suite particularly Excel
  • Familiarity with Elite and electronic banking software would be an asset.
